Rekonect makes grassroots fundraising real.
We’re a 501c(3) nonprofit that gives ordinary people — neighbors, teachers, tenants, friends, families, organizers — the institutional backing they need to raise money for the causes in front of them. Tax-deductible donations. Real stewardship. None of the paperwork.
If you’ve ever wanted to start a fund and run into a wall — incorporation fees, state filings, federal applications, board minutes, bylaws, the eighteen-month wait for IRS recognition — that wall is the thing we exist to remove.
What we do
We host charitable programs under our nonprofit. When you run a program through Rekonect, your donors give to a real 501c(3), get a real tax receipt, and trust that their money is being handled by an actual nonprofit with actual oversight. You skip the part where you become a lawyer.
That includes:
- Community Support Funds — ongoing efforts like a neighborhood meal train for a family in crisis, a mutual aid pool, a memorial fund, a tenants’ legal defense fund, a teacher’s classroom supplies fund.
- Social Impact Campaigns — time-bound efforts responding to a specific need: disaster relief, a medical bill, a community project, a moment that calls for collective action.
How it works
We provide the nonprofit home. We approve and define each program’s charitable purpose, hold the funds, and make sure every dollar gets used the way donors were promised it would. We partner with BrightLeaf Giving for the donation platform, the bookkeeping, and the disbursement infrastructure — so the money flows cleanly and the receipts are airtight.
You focus on the cause. We handle the institution.
What we’re committed to
Stewardship, not control. Programs are hosted, not owned. Funds are administered with care, oversight is real, and donor trust is non-negotiable. We exist for as long as a cause needs us.
Over 85 programs sponsored. Over $1,228,000 raised. No nonprofits founded, no boards convened, no IRS forms filed by the people doing the actual work.
That’s the point.
